Supporting people to live well at home is at the heart of everything we do. That’s why we’re proud to be sponsoring The Dementia Event, a free community event at Stowmarket Golf Club on Friday 9 October.

Dementia affects thousands of families across Suffolk, and many people don’t know where to turn when they first start to worry. Whether you’re concerned about your own memory or caring for someone living with dementia, this event is a chance to get answers, find support and meet people who understand.

The day includes a keynote speech on dementia from Dr Peter Prinsley MP, followed by a Q&A session. Visitors can also step aboard the Dementia Virtual Tour Bus, which gives a powerful sense of what everyday life can feel like for someone living with the condition. Throughout the day, charities, organisations and local businesses will be on hand to talk through the help available.

For us, sponsoring the event was an easy decision. Our Personal Support Workers care for people living with dementia every day, and we know how much the right support, at the right time, can change things for a whole family. Events like this help people take that first step.

The Dementia Event runs from 11am to 3.30pm at Stowmarket Golf Club, Lower Road, Onehouse, Stowmarket, IP14 3DA. Entry is free, and everyone is welcome.
